Ingredients
- Olive oil
- Diced onions
- Carrots
- Garlic
- Red pepper paste
- Red lentils
- Cumin
- Black pepper
- Salt
- Coriander
- Cayenne
- Rice
- Chicken broth
- Lemon juice
- Chopped cilantro
Instructions

Saute diced onions in olive oil.

Add in carrots, garlic, and red pepper paste and toast.

Add in red lentils, cumin, black pepper, salt, coriander, cayenne, and rice.

Pour in chicken broth and over medium heat let this come to a boil.

Turn the heat to low and simmer for about 45 minutes while mixing every 5 minutes so they don't stick.

Finish off with some lemon juice to taste and top with chopped cilantro.
